Bijou Square asks: Where were you before you lived here?
Robert: I grew up in the Deep South (Miami), and then moved to NYC, then to CT.
Bijou Square: What brought you here?
Robert: I moved to NYC to work for Diesel Jeans. When I had kids, it was time to leave the city. CT was the best choice for my family and I.
Bijou Square: What do you do in Bridgeport?
Robert: I part own and operate an eclectic retail shop focused on an artisan community who contributes works and creations of all kinds. These include: contemporary denim and related knits mixed with art, artifacts, antiques, furniture, furnishings, jewelry, accessories and more.
Bijou Square: What’s one spot you could be in Bridgeport all day and why?
Robert: St. Mary's by the Sea. It's the first area we moved to in CT. The water is a very important part of my life. It's a place where I think, reflect and recharge.
Bijou Square: What do you think we’re missing here?
Robert: Positive awareness. As well as historical and cultural awareness. People have to know what's here and feel compelled to visit and have a safe and enjoyable experience that keeps them coming back.
